SPEED TOAD COFOUNDER DR. SAM ATTANASIO TAKES BALL SPEED WORLD RECORD FROM KYLE BERKSHIRE - 241.7 MPH!

On Monday, April 8, 2024 Cofounder of the golf speed training system Speed Toad, and professional Long Driver Dr. Sam Attanasio, broke the golf world record for fastest ball speed at 241.7 MPH. Not only did he do it once, he did it twice, hitting the same speed (to the decimal) just a few swings later in the same speed session. 

A record more often than not held by 3x (and current) World Champion Kyle Berkshire throughout the past 5+ years, Dr. Attanasio has been quickly climbing up the speed charts. Berkshire took the World Record from Australian Seb Twaddell in the Fall of 2023 when he hit 241.6 MPH during an exhibition in Wyoming. Dr. Attanasio was the second man ever to reach the 240 MPH milestone last year and has been eyeing the World Record ever since. 

Dr. Attanasio is two years new on the World Long Drive scene, with a current world ranking of 22nd. At 6’0” and 195 lbs, Sam isn’t the largest golfer out there, but has spent the past two years building the most efficient, well sequenced, and powerful swings on the planet. When asked what this means to him, Dr. Attanasio replied “This means the world to me. I feel so blessed that God brought me through some really tough times health wise to becoming the new record holder. This record is an indicator that God can do anything with anybody’s life so long as they trust in Him. My friends and family have given me so much love and support through this process so it feels amazing to show them that it wasn’t all for nothing. This also means a lot to get the world record back on a club built by Chris from Apex Golf Hawaii. We have put in countless hours testing and perfecting the fastest setups in golf. His knowledge and skill when it comes to building golf equipment is next level and rightfully deserves credit for his behind the scenes performance. Lastly, it means a lot in showing that Speed Toad is the greatest speed training aid in golf. Bryce and I developed it out of a need to translate speed from speed training aid into our actual driver and it has surpassed all expectations."
